Review Copies : KOR is not a casual game
It is easy to consider these days that an independent video game with low production value must be a casual game. There is no actual reason for this to be true. KOR may look like a simple game, and indeed it can be played casually. However, it has been designed in the manner of an eSport, exactly as Dino achieved in his original games. After 7 months of playing KOR as of writing, there are some excellent players with astounding skill, yet they are still learning and competing and discovering new moves, techniques and strategies after logging hundreds of hours of gameplay. All this is not very apparent when you look at a screenshot or play the game for half an hour. This makes KOR a difficult game to review, as it has potentially unlimited hours of gameplay.
These days most videogames present a journey through a story or though levels. KOR only has one level: it's football. The journey you take playing KOR is your own journey as you play the game and develop your skills and dive further into the depth of the game. This is the entire heart of KOR.
